Jupiter and Mythology

Today, J is for Jupiter because I’ve always been interested in the stars and planets. In this blog you will (hopefully) gain some knowledge about Jupiter and the stars etc. (I’m also interested in the beliefs surrounding star signs).
Jupiter is the fifth planet from the Sun and the largest within the Solar System. Jupiter is classified as a gas giant along with Saturn, Uranus and Neptune. These four planets are sometimes referred to as the Jovian or outer planets.

- The Romans named the planet after the Roman god, Jupiter
- To the Babylonians, this object represented their God Marduk.

In astrology, Jupiter is like a beacon in the birth chart, guiding you to realize 'Self' within you. It's essence is said to generate potential for expanding beyond your sense of who you are. Jupiter guides you to your biggest dreams. This planet pulls you toward your aspirations, sense of destiny, serendipity, helpful friends and fateful events.
Sometimes Jupiter may cause you to take risks.

How does it link with my book?: I’m going to be using references to the planets and any stories surrounding them...I’ve always found them really interesting and mystical.
